Kinetex Inc. - Oil & Gas Exploration Services Company
Kinetex Incorporated is a Calgary, Alberta based Oil & Gas exploration service company providing low impact seismic data acquisition, seismic drilling, and seismic data services to both domestic and international Petroleum and Mining marketplaces.
The philosophy fostering Kinetex's work ethics to the Petroleum and Mining Industries is to provide clients with the very best data quality, techniques, and methodologies coupled with an unblemished HSE track record.
In order to accomplish this task, Kinetex Incorporated has raised the bar on all encompassing standards of the acquisition process. Efforts such as implementing Vectorseis MEMS technology into its operational foundation to provide the quality data that is essential in today's exploration industries.
The Vectorseis technology uses single point sensors which consist of 3 MEMS (Micro Electronic Mechanical Systems) components to record the data. Full wave seismic data which is acquired with these sensors is converted to Digital format at the sensor, rather than through a separate Acquisition Modules allowing the Vectorseis System to reduce the total weight of the system significantly while maintaining quality data integrity. To further the weight reduction of the system the Vectorseis telemetry is the radio based, eliminating the use of cables between modules. The use of Radio telemetry technology allows Kinetex Incorporated to acquire seismic data in the most challenging and sensitive environments where a cable based system may be rendered useless. Such reduction in weight without the loss of system redundancy and flexibility allows for optimal logistical manipulation of equipment and manpower promoting high productivity results, in a safe labor environment.
Sources used to provide the input into the ground vary from either 12,000lb or 48,000lb Peak Force Vibroseis trucks which send a series of frequencies into the earth, explosive charges detonated at predetermined depths and arrays, or airgun created bubble arrays submerged below the water.
The energy created from the source effort reflects off of the earths subsurface and are detected by the Vectorseis sensors, which are then recorded in modules deployed throughout the prospect.
Once the data has been collected and processed, a detailed model is created and used to determine underlying geological structures. This information is essential in the successful analysis of exploratory or frontier reservoir properties which determine ideal coordinates for drilling operations to commence.
Kinetex Incorporated takes pride in its work and the diverse environments it works in ensuring a minimal footprint if any is left behind. By using specialized recording equipment and heli-assited stake less deployment, Kinetex reduces the overall stress on the earth's environment. Kinetex Incorporated takes every measure possible to ensure the environment remains in pristine condition, while achieving uncompromising exploration services.
With continuing successful delivery of data sets to clients, Kinetex Incorporated strives to not only meet, but succeed in all realms of the data acquisition process. From quality data being delivered as an end result to the implementation and following up of HSE Standards recognized industry wide. Kinetex Incorporated has taken and continues to take extra measures to ensure productivity meets safety on an equal playing field.
As a continued commitment to the industries growing demands, Kinetex Incorporated's thesis to a long term successful future is the continuing quest for new technologies, methodologies and operational integrity through the investment in its people, experience and resources.
